Church Bells

At least once a day, depending on where I happen to be, I hear the sound of church bells. Here in Panzano, as in most every Tuscan village, the bells in a church steeple high over the town ring out the hour and the half hour. This simple, quaint link to a simpler past unites everyone within earshot. For just that second you’re grounded in the moment and reminded, “Yes, you are here and alive and all is well.”
